【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoverstheevaluationoftheperformanceofdistillatefuelsfromthestandpointofclean,efficientburning.ItisintendedprimarilyforusewithhomeheatingequipmentburningNo.1orNo.2fueloils.Itcanbeusedeitherinthelaboratoryorinthefieldtocomparefuelsusingagivenheatingunitortocomparetheperformanceofheatingunitsusingagivenfuel.Thevaluesininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.Arbitraryandrelativeunitsarealsoused.Note1-Thistestmethodappliesonlytopressureatomizingandrotary-typeburners.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
