【摘要】:Thesecurementoftheendovascularstentontheballoonisacriticalparametertoensurethatthestentissafelydeliveredtoorfromthetreatmentsite.Thisguideisintendedforusebyresearchersandmanufacturersforthedevelopmentandselectionofpre-testtreatments,testsandtestendpointstomeasurestentsecurement(displacementdistancesanddislodgmentforces).Thisguidemaybeusedtoinvestigatewhichpracticalcombinationsofinvitrotestsbestcharacterizeclinicalscenarios.Thisguideshouldbeusedwithdiscretioninchoosingsecurementtestsandevaluatingresultsduetothemyriadpossiblecombinationsofclinicalconditions,failuremodes,andstentdeliverysystemdesigns.Thisguidemaybeofusefordevelopingatestformeetingparts2and3oftherequirementsofEN14299,Section7.3.4.4onTrackability.ThisguidemaybeofusefordevelopingatesttomeetsectionVII-C-8ofCDRHGuidancedocument.1.1Thisguideprovidesguidanceforthedesignanddevelopmentofpre-testtreatments,tests,andtestendpointstomeasurestentsecurementofpre-mounted,unsheathed,balloon-expandablestentdeliverysystems.Thisguideisintendedtoaidinvestigatorsinthedesign,development,andinvitrocharacterizationofpre-mounted,unsheathed,balloon-expandablestentdeliverysystems.1.2Thisguidecoversthelaboratorydeterminationoftheshearforcerequiredtodisplaceordislodgeaballoon-expandableendovascularstentmountedonadeliverysystem.Theguideproposesasetofoptionstoconsiderwhentestingstentsecurement.Theoptionscoverpre-testtreatments,possiblestentsecurementtests,andrelevanttestendpoints.Anexampletestapparatusisgivenin.1.3Thisguidecoversinvitrobenchtestingcharacterizationonly.Measuredlevelsofsecurementandproductdesign/processdifferentiationmaybeparticularlyinfluencedbyselectionsofpre-testtreatments,securementtesttype(forexample,stentgrippingmethod),andtestendpoint.Invivocharacteristicsmayalsodifferfrominvitroresults.1.4Thisguidedoesnotcoverallpossiblepre-testtreatments,stentsecurementtests,ortestendpoints.Itisintendedtoprovideastartingpointfromwhichtoselectandinvestigatesecurementtestoptions.1.5Thisguidedoesnotspecifyamethodformountingthestentontothedeliverysystem.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
